| 722 | PARKER, Craig Hyde Craig Hyde Parker, 54 of Acton, Ontario. Peacefully at home in a room full of love and surrounded by family, January 31, 2007 after a valiant battle with cancer. Loving husband and soulmate of Karen (nee Reczuch). Craig's pride and joy were his children Kyra and Rylan. He will be dearly missed by parents Lewis and Eleanor Parker and his always loving and caring siblings, Christine, Leslie Anne and Matthew. His memory will be treasured by extended family and countless friends. Craig was born in Toronto and was a photographer from early on. He spent many years enjoying the tutelage and friendship of Yuri Dojc, later becoming photographer for the Marcom Group in Mississauga. He valued the many friends he made throughout his career. Craig became a Christian in his 30's and many of his most enduring friendships date from his years at Bloor Street United Church and involvement in study and prayer groups from that time. St. Alban's Anglican Church became his spiritual home in Acton, where he has enjoyed loving support and encouragement. Craig took joy from his community participation through the church and his involvement in Scouting in Acton. The family is very grateful to many healthcare professionals for their exceptional and compassionate care. We wish to especially thank Dr. George McWilliam and the staff at the Acton Medical Centre, Dr. Andrew Bayley, Dr. Paul Zeni and Linda Dougherty and her wonderful North Halton team at Acclaim Health. | 736 | Property 29 AUG 1837 W. 1/2 Lot 21, Con. 10 - Smith sold to him by his brother John Walter McIlmoyle, of the Township of Smith, was born in 1850, on lot 21, concession 10 - the old McIlmoyle homestead - where he has always resided. At a very early age his grandfather emigrated to "the Colonies", arriving just previous to the outbreak of the revolution, which ended in the American Independence. The loyalty of the elder McIlmoyle, however, casued him to join his fortunes to the King's cause; and having taken arms against the Continentals, he was compelled, with thousands such as him, to seek safety by flight into the winderness of Upper Canada, in 1783. He drew land as a U.E. Loyalist where the Town of Prescott now stands; but in the early part of the century removed to Northumberland County - one of the pioneers of that section. Here his father, Hugh McIlmoyle, was born, in 1812; and here his grandfather died some years later. When still a youth, Hugh removed to the Township of Smith. He married Elizabeth O'Donohoe; and, settling on the lot above mentioned, hewed out a house from the wilderness, and reared a family of four sons and a daughter. Quite recently Mr. McIlmoyle, sen'r, has retired from active business - the management of the farm devolving upon Walter, who is intelligent, affalbe, and well-informed, and is looked upon as one of the substantial and rising young men of the community. (History of the County of Peterborough, Ontario; Toronto; C. Blackett Robinson, 5 Jordon Street; 1884, pg 616-617) Canadian County Atlas of 1871 records Hugh as a Farmer in Smith Township, having settled here in 1835. | McIlmoyle, Hugh G (I1525)
