[S41] British Census - 1851. James Jory's wife Jane, is listed as a widow in the Menagissey Census in the Parish of Mount Hawke. His father was listed as Richard Jory, a Miner, and her father Samuel Nankivell, also a Miner. They were married by R. M. Hodges, Superintendent Registrar, according to the rites and cerremonies of the parties. James Mathews and Alice Jory (his grandmother) were the witnesses. James signed the register and Jane "made her mark".
