BIRTH: Family from England, but Lolly's dad had a musical band and was on tour at the time of his birth, and happened to be in Scotland.
He immigrated to Canada at age 3 and traveled on the "Lake Champlain" leaving from Liverpool, England and arriving in Quebec on 9 May 1910 with his mother.
He worked for many years with the Canadian National Railway Co. as a telegraph operator.
Lolly died at the Kipling Acres Nursing Home in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was stricken with Alzheimer's Disease in his declining years.

Loreburn married Jory, Gwendoline Mae on 21 Mar 1930 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Gwendoline (daughter of Jory, Arthur and Willoughby, Helena) was born on 27 Jul 1905 in Cornwall, England; died on 29 Aug 1998 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

Gwen, as she is known to all, came to Canada to live with Mrs. Grace Flay, nee Willoughby (Aunt Grace), who had married Charlie Flay. Gwen moved to Canada in 1924.
She was very active, as one of its leaders, with a senior citizen group in the Toronto, Canada area. Mrs. Gwen Daintree formerly lived at: 31 Braeburn Avenue, Weston, Ontario, Canada M9P2J2
On 1 April 1993 Gwen moved into Room 305 of Beechwood Place, a senior citizens home. The address is: 1500 Rathburn Road East, Mississauga, Ontario, L4W4L7, Canada.
On 29 August 1998, Gwen died at Meadowcroft Home from Alzheimer's Disease.

1915 World War 1 Attestation Paper records Edgar signing up March 25th, 1915. His papers indicate that he reported his birth as 1878. In Mar 1915, Edgar would have been either 42, or 40 depending on which dob we use. He reported being only 36.

BIOGRAPHY: Mrs. Daintree and her husband were entertainers. They had their own band. The name DAINTREE was their stage name they legaly adopted.
She immigrated to Canada at age 25 and traveled on the "Lake Champlain" leaving from Liverpool, England and arriving in Quebec on 9 May 1910 with her son.
She and her husband separated in their later years. She died at the Queen Street Hospital in Toronto at age 72 according to her granddaughter, Dorothy Parker during a conversation with Fred Morleyt on 25th October 1990 at Alexandria, Virgina.

Note:
He was a mining engineer and mining manager. At one time he was in charge of all underground miners at the South Crofty Mine, Poole, Cornwall. There is a model of the mine that Arthur designed and constructed in the Cornwall County Museum in Truro. Arthur travelled around the world as a mining engineer to India, Nicaragua, North and South America and Spain. Arthur and his first wife Helena lived in Mount Hawk for a time and then in Pednandrea Bungalow in Redruth in the 1930s. It appears that Arthur was separated from his wife at this time. He had bad asthma attacks and lived as a bachelor for nearly 14 years.
Arthur married for a second time in 1946 after the death of his first wife. Apparently, Arthur and Helena were separated, but never formally divorced. He married Phebe Jane VINCENT in 1946 and when Arthur died a year later from liver cancer and brain cancer, he left everything to his second wife.
