Two Weddings This Week Are Interesting To Many In Province

Okotoks - (Special) - A wedding of unusual interest took place on Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the ranch home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hogge of Okotoks, when their only grand-daughter, Eleanor Grace, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Hogge of Okotoks was united in marriage to Mr. DOnald Thomas Campbell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Campbell of Black Diamond. The outdoor ceremony which was conducted on the lawn, under clear autumn skies, with the Rev. C. C. Poecock officiating, was attended by more than 150 guests. This wedding also marked the forty-fifth anniversary of the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hogge, well-known old - timers, who have resided in the Okotoks district since the early eighties.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, looked lovely in a gown of white transparent velvet, fashioned in princess style, with floor-length veil of white silk net falling gracefully from a Spanish mantilla. She carried a bouquet of deep pink roses.
Miss Margaret Davies who acted as bridesmaid was becomingly gowned in a floor-length dress of rose lace with blue accessories. She wore a narrow wreath of blue flowers in her hair and carried a bouquet of pink carnations.
Mr. Gordon Campbell, older brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man.
Mr. Archibald Kady played the wedding march, and during the signing of the register Mr. Hack Banister sang "I Love You Truly."
Following the ceremony a reception was help at which the guests were received by Mrs. Joseph Hogge, grandmother of the bride; Mrs. Ernest Hogge, mother of the bride and Mrs. Donald Campbell, mother of the bridegroom. Mrs. Hogge senior wore a black velvet gown with wast of metallic brocade, with black hat and accessorues, and a corsage of yellow roses, while the bridegroom's mother chose a gown of navy blue georgette with grey hat and accessories and corsage of yellow roses. Mrs. Jean Fraser and Mrs. A. A. Metcalfe presided at teh tea urns, while Mrs. Crawford, aunit of the bride, and Mrs. W. D. Lineham cut the ices.
Those assisting in serving were: Miss Alice Thompson, Miss Mary Fisher, Miss Jean MacKay, Miss Barbara Robinson, Miss Margaret Lineham, Miss Mary Spackman, Miss Rita Currie, Miss Doris Currie, Miss Dorothy Robinson, Miss Jean Conway, Miss Onolee Campbell, Miss Mary Wright.
Miss Elizabeth Cusack, Miss Ellen Bice, Miss Jessie MacKay, Miss Helen Poecock, Miss Chritina Visser, Miss Edith Fisher and Miss Marion Fisher.
Immediately following the reception Mr. and Mrs. Donald Thomas Campbell left by motor for a trip to the United States. FOr traveling the bride chose a green tailored suit with brown hat and accessories. On their return they will reside near Hartell, Turner Valley.
Out of town guests at the wedding included Mr. Ivan Trousdale of Vancouver, Mr. R. Abercombie, Vancouver, and Mrs. R. A. Crawford of Lethbridge.
